To Our Faithful Supporters and Prayer Partners,
A lot has changed since the last time I wrote at the end of April. We traveled back home to the States April 29—8,000 miles in about 34 hours. The primary purpose of our visit was a wedding. The Lord gave us a wonderful day for Carissa and Dustin’s special day on May 19! While giving Carissa away is a big change, we are certainly happy to welcome Dustin into our family.
We were so glad to see our family, many of our friends, and be with our church family in the States. It is a big change for us being away from the place we have lived and ministered most of our lives, so the time to be with everyone again was a real encouragement.
Danielle and I are now back in South Africa by ourselves. Drew is staying in the States to serve at Camp Calvary this summer and then begin college in the fall. Grant is staying in the States a little while to work and go to summer camp before he returns to SA in late July. This is another big change for us to have all four of our children in the States while we are here.
As we work through the changes in our lives, we are also looking ahead to the opportunities ahead of us. We are very thankful to have Ashley Forker, a college student from one of our supporting churches, serving with us until June 27. We have a basketball clinic youth outreach ministry scheduled for the week of June 17-21 through the NextGen youth ministry. Please pray for the spiritual opportunities to reach children and teens through the tool of basketball. We are also looking forward to having a group from our home church here beginning June 28. They will be ministering the gospel through two different children’s clubs in the towns of Knysna and Sedgefield. Please pray for fruitful ministry in these Bible clubs.
Through all the changes in our lives, we are thankful more than ever for the truth found in Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” While things around us are always changing, it is a great encouragement to know that He never does. We also continue to be regularly encouraged by the faithful prayers and personal support we receive on a consistent basis from so many of you. Thank you so much!
We would love to hear from you
For the Sake of His Name,
Troy and Danielle
