Dear Friends,
I was just reading in Psalm 145 this week and reflecting on this truth in verse 17: “The Lord
is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works.”
The Lord has been genuinely kind to us as we have made the transition back to the States.
He has provided for us in so many ways, including the challenge we faced with our
container. We certainly are grateful to many of you for helping us cover all the extra
expenses we faced in that situation and we praise the Lord for how He worked everything
out for us to receive our container at the end of February.
We have recently completed our first year at High Point Baptist Chapel. The Lord has shown
us His kindness in leading us here and we are thankful for how He is working in the ministry
here at High Point. We are also so thankful for the opportunities we’ve had to be back
closer to our family and the times that we’ve had over the past year to invest on a personal
level in those relationships that mean so much to us.
While we have been back in the States for 16 months now, we have not lost our heart for
the ministry in South Africa and the people we built relationships with during our time
there. In God’s kindness, He has provided the opportunity for us to make a visit back to
South Africa in November to see our church family there and our former ministry partners.
We are planning to leave on November 4 and return November 15. It seems as though
current world events are creating a spike in travel costs, so we are looking at around $3,400
for the international flights and an additional $500 for domestic flights in South Africa. If you
would like to partner with us to help with our travel expenses, we would certainly
appreciate support in alleviating the cost of the trip. Unfortunately, since we are not with a
mission organization any longer, any gifts would not be tax deductible. The easiest way to
help would be through Venmo @Troy-Gahman or by way of check sent in our name to 200
Chapel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
Please pray that we will be able to be a genuine encouragement to our church family and
friends in South Africa throughout our visit.
For the Sake of His Name,
Troy and Danielle
