Big Change

Dear Friends,

Hello from George, South Africa! We certainly have not been flooding your inbox with our updates—it’s officially been five months since the last one. While much has happened over the course of that time, we will share just a few ministry items with you in this update and one big change that is taking place.

Ministry Update

We want to thank the Lord for providing for Alex, Bethany, Joshua, and Caleb Tandon to move to our city back in June to serve alongside of us. They have joined our ministry team here and have been a great blessing and encouragement to us already.

The Lord continues to encourage us through what He is doing at Life Fellowship Church. On Sunday, September 22, we added nine new people to our church family! The following Saturday, we had the opportunity to have our first-ever ministry service project with our church family. We were able to spend several hours working together on a Saturday morning at the property purchased for the ministry initiative we mentioned in our last update called the Foundations Theological Institute (www.foundationsti.co.za). FTI is a gap-year program designed to train the next generation of South African Christian leaders for life and ministry in the local church. The Lord blessed us with a great time serving together as a church family!

We are also involved in a building project for the Bybel Baptiste Kerk in the Pacaltsdorp community of our city. The project is entering the final phase, and we are hoping that Pastor Alfonso Katts and his family will be able to move into the house connected to the church building by mid-December. We are in the process of raising the funds for the completion of this project, so please pray with us that the Lord would provide the remaining funds needed.

A Big Change...

Back in June, we found out that our home church would no longer be able to serve as our missions agency. While Calvary will still be our sending church, we need to secure a missions organization that will serve as our sending agency. We are in the process of onboarding with a new missions organization which has required quite a bit of our time and focus. We would appreciate your prayers as we go through this significant transition. We will be sending information shortly to our supporting churches and our individual supporters about changes in where and how to continue supporting what the Lord is doing here in George, SA. Until you hear again from us on this, you can continue to send support funds to Calvary in Lansdale.

Ministry Giving Opportunities...

In addition to the church project in Pacaltsdorp, there are several other ministry projects we would like to share with you so you can pray with us that the Lord would provide what is needed in these areas:

1. The Foundations Theological Institute is looking for a committed couple to come for a year (February-November 2025) to serve as residence hall supervisors. The responsibilities would include general upkeep of the residence hall, mentoring students, and oversight of student life. Accommodation will be provided, but self- funding for living expenses would be needed.
2. We are continuing to raise funds for the following projects: (1) $15,000 to help Pastor Boyce Saleni and the Thembalethu Baptist Church fix some water drainage issues at the front of their building by leveling and paving the front portion of their property and fixing their security fencing; (2) due to an increase in crime, we are needing to revamp and upgrade the security system at the Inspire George Ministry Center—a $5,000 project; (3) we are trying to add some furniture to our Inspire George Business Center so that we can expand the number of people that will be able to use the facility—a $3,000 project; (4) installing a small playground for use by families that visit our ministry center—a $1,500 project.
